This event is invitation only. The seminar exposes students of all backgrounds to current tax research and is designed for students from doctoral programs without a Ph.D. tax seminar. The 2025 UNC Tax Doctoral Seminar is sponsored by PwC and the UNC Tax Center. Some of the best tax professors in accounting from around the U.S. gather at UNC to teach 10 -15 Ph.D students each year from the best doctoral programs. Students learn the fundamentals of tax research, and some might wind up adding tax to their set of research interests.
